OFWGKTA – NYC – Highline Ballroom instant payday loans
One week ago Odd Future ran through NYC and I captured some visuals. Tonight, Philly!

OFWGKTA Invade NYC instant payday loans
Last week I got swagged the fuck out by Odd Future when they came through NYC. I met them over at Santos about an hour before showtime. They got out a few cabs and we slid in a side entrance to the venue and shot upstairs into the green room. Tyler danced, spazzed and bounced off the walls while me Syd, Domo, Hodgy and Left Brain blazed in anticipation
The homie Mos Def came through (He Swears He’s Not Stalking Odd Future)
Then Tyler screamed “Everybody get the fuck out for 15 god-damned minutes” I drank some shots of Patron. and went to grab a tee to throw on while I was shootin. I headed backstage again not even noticing Dame Dash or Terry Richardson lurking around the crowd somewhere. Show was about to start in a few minutes, no openers, jus Syd dropping tracks that the crowd responded heavily to.
So Tyler exploded from the back at the drop of “Sandwitches” and it was pretty much a fucking wrap
Notice all the people on stage with cameras…..Tyler did too. He motions to Syd to cut the track and notes “I need all you mother fuckers off the stage right now. ALL YOU MOTHERFUCKERS.” Me and their friend and touring photographer Brick Stowell would be holding down official camera duties tonight. The show was great, I shot the last show at The Studio at Webster Hall which was sold out and this show at Santos which is easily double the size was sold out as well with a couple hundred kids still in the street when the opening track dropped again. Sadly most of those kids would not be getting in tonight. The show was really dope, complete set change from the Webster Hall show minus a few tracks here and there. They energy level was insane and the tracks dropped one after the other with different members of the crew taking over the stage. Tyler and Hodgy were climbing on speakers, Domo and Left were dancing and smoking, Syd behind the decks shouting every word. It really was some next level shit.
There Were Wigs
So after the show wrapped we kicked it backstage while everything cleared out and headed back to the hotel to chill. Drank some Henny, looked through Tumblr’s Facebook’s and YouTube’s and ordered Dominoes pizzas and Cinnastix. Me Left Domo Hodgy and Syd ate that and I bounced. It was gonna be an early morning….oh yeah Tyler lost his shoe.
Tyler the Creator – Yonkers – NYC – 2/15/11
So the next morning I woke up dumb early took the train from the Bronx into Manhattan, grabbed a little 1/5th of Henny to cure my ails and went and met Tyler and Clancy in the hotel lobby and bullshitted while we waited for everyone to get ready. Tyler was now rockin a size 10 pair of authentics on one foot like a slipper. Everyone assembled downstairs, we piled in a van and headed to the NBC building. We talked about gingers, Whole Foods being gay, chicks that think they’re super models because they’re tall, the movie Taxi and Cinnastix. We got up to the greenroom and chilled for like an hour. You could hear The Roots practicing the instrumental to Sandwitches in the next room and it sounded crazy. I kept popping over to see the girl getting her makeup done for her role in the performance and it was dope. So we went into the studio and watched 2 practice runs of the song and then shot downtown to Supreme so Tyler could finally get some shoes that fit. Tyler proclaimed “We Have TO FUCKING GO TO BENS PIZZA, IT’S THE EQUIVALENT OF CINNSTIX” So we went and had pizza and then headed back to NBC. While we were there Tyler gets a Tweet that someone has his shoe and wants to give it to him. So we arrange to get some tees and shit for them and for them to meet us after the taping. So we’re chillin and in walks Mos, visitor badge and all. He chills with us for a bit then the show starts so he goes and sits in on the show, rockin with The Roots. We all watched the show in the greenroom but missed an amazing intro of Mos and The Roots playing Umi Says, sounded amazing (Domo would sing this song for the next 12 hours). They ushered us up into the studio through some staircases and up behind the audience. You all saw the performance, it was amazing, watching it happen live was surreal and we all got yelled at for jumping around back there. After they wrapped that up we shot outside to some fans waiting and the arrival of the shoe.
So then we went back to the hotel for a few and got ready for dinner. XL took us out for pizza on some mafia shit. Through the kitchen, up some back flight of steps and into a private room. Shot back to the hotel and Hodgy and Left Brain went out to skate a bit
Left was messin with this chick haha
We went in and watched the performance on TV and it was amazing being in the room with them watching history unfold. It was really a great moment, we were yelling and jumping around. Some sort of vase was broken(and hidden). With that I said peace to everyone and headed out. Thanks to Tyler, Hodgy, Domo, Left Brain, Syd, Brick, Clancy and Heathcliff for bringing me along for the ride, it was alot of fun.

A Night With Chromeo, MNDR, The Suzan and The Fools Gold Family at Terminal 5 and Webster Hall instant payday loans

Terminal 5 and Webster Hall Were Fucking Destroyed
I shoot alot of stuff. Rock, Rap, Dance. Lounge, Club, Concert Hall. Street, Studio, Portrait. Without a doubt the most fun I ever have out shooting is with the good folks at Fools Gold Records.
The energy and emotion in the audience and through-out the venue at Terminal 5 was immense. Ages varied, gender equally mixed and everyone was there for one simple thing. To cut loose. I started with some Henny, moved onto Patron and hit the stage for the opening act The Suzan. They were great. They killed it, switching up duties on vocals, climbing bass drums and bringing Tokyo to New York that day….literally as they were delayed from a snow storm and had to miss the previous show in Boston the night before. When they wrapped up I jetted backstage and grabbed some shots with them as Dave and A-trak were arriving. (Is Dave too tall or are The Suzan too short) Next up MDNR hit the stage. I have never seen her perform live and she was really great. The music was somehow heavy and light at the same time however that’s possible. I managed to squeeze along the front of the stage past all P’s equipment but shortly after I got a tap and I knew that meant I was a bit too close to the instruments draped under black cloth. It’s probably for the best since i was already a few drinks in. So once the MNDR set wrapped up I headed backstage again for some more shots and ran into friends Mel D Cole of Village Slum, Hawaii Mike of LTD Magazine and Bronques of Last Nights Party. I also had the opportunity to give Nick Catchdubs a record I had been trying to get to him. So now it was time for Chromeo to hit the stage so I went down to the pit to grab some shots from the front of the stage. The crowd was fucking pumped, the energy was crazy and Dave and P hit the stage. I shot alot from the front of the stage and then made about 15 laps around the venue from the pit, to the back of the stage, to the crowd, up to both balconies and back around again grabbing shots from all angles. At this point the sold out show seemed to oversold, the mass of people led all the way around the space, people pressed against eachother from the front of the barricades to the doors leading to the streets. The sound was fantastic and the crowd was loving it. After a few blasts of confetti the show wrapped up and I headed backstage to say peace to everyone but instead they basically told me I wasnt going anywhere and we proceeded to head downtown to Webster Hall for the afterparty.
When I got to Webster I headed in past the line and shot straight upstairs to catch the end of Mr Oizo’s set which was incredible. At some point he either broke, surged or someone spilt something on the gear and the power cut out, but regained power shortly after. Dave, P, A-Trak and Nick followed in soon after and hit the decks. Dave played records, P danced around the stage, shirt open swiggin Heinekens. In the words of Catchdubs “that case of Heineken just got stripped to the bones in 1 minute” A-Trak stepped up to the tables and dropped Barbara Streisand, Webster Hall was bouncing. There was a chick that looked like the big Kardashian sister acting a fool, she was throwing water all over the place, there was a lake on the stage. Webster Hall maintenance came out and did his best mop dance accross the floor as Khloe got escorted out of the building……or so we thought, she was back being a menace within 5 minutes. Women on speakers, reaching hands over the barricades trying to make their way on stage. It was an amzing night with great people and new friends. Untill next time………see all the photos by clicking the image below
